Job Summary:

The B+H planning, urban design and landscape architecture team is looking for a senior team member to be responsible for team operations who will play a key role in project management and staff administration.  This position will also involve direct participation in management of individual projects and development of client relationships for the team. 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Operational responsibilities

• Daily operations and administration of the planning, urban design and landscape architecture team
• Support projects and project managers in terms of operations, financial performance and staffing resources.
• Prepare monthly fee and staffing forecasts
• Manage staff, and assign team members to various projects
• Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees
• Review and finalize client contracts  
• Review and finalize sub consultants agreements
• Participate in the preparation of fee proposals and work plans
• Monitor project profitability, financial performance and budgets
• Define new processes and techniques to improve efficiency, productivity and team profitability.

Project Management responsibilities

• Management of large landscape and/or planning and urban design projects
• Responsibility for project work schedule and financial performance
• Coordination between the client and the project team
• Quality control of project deliverables
• Development of client relationships.

Position Requirements: 

• Relevant University degree in Planning, Urban Design or Landscape Architecture.  Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in the professional field including project management experience with an international design practice
• Interest and experience in the business of design and in financial reporting and budget management

We are seeking talented design-oriented Junior/Intermediate Architects who will contribute to and participated in the Design and Development process from Interiors to large-scale complex projects.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:  

• Supports the project designer in the development of the architectural design, including reviewing the design requirements
• Attends team meetings as necessary to coordinate drawings, and provide information as required.
• Utilizes CADD to draft design drawings and schedules following office standards including 3D models. Makes alterations to design drawings as directed by more senior staff.
• Works with current design techniques, building systems, and keeps current with design trends, code changes, and developments to sustain and improve technical and design skills.

• Working closely with the Design team to formulate preliminary space plans and produce two- and three-dimensional design concepts that   are functional, within budget and aesthetically pleasing
