Mark joined B+H in 2003 and was appointed as a Principal in 2011. He has been involved in the practice of architecture since 1987 and is a LEED Accredited Professional who offers expertise in institutional, sports and recreation, residential, commercial and sustainable design. Mark has extensive experience in all aspects of the profession, from project level to professional business leadership, with a focus on the management and design of complex, large-scale projects. He also has broad experience with alternate forms of project delivery including design, build and finance. Mark has served as the project lead on both the bidder and compliance side.


Mark is a design leader in the firm. His projects include Sun Life’s national headquarters in the Philippines, which is now the first LEED-certified building in the country; Preston Square in Ottawa, the winner of the 2006 Ottawa Urban Design Award; and the Abilities Centre, an international-level athletics facility for the disabled slated as a venue for the 2015 Pan Am Parapan Games in Toronto. Mark was also a senior or lead designer on You You Hotel (Shanghai), Wuxi residential development in (Wuxi, China), the Niagara Health Services Hospital (St. Catharines), and the Cyberteque wing of McGill University’s Redpath Library (Montreal). Mark is also the co-lead architect for the Pan Am Games Sports Venues in a planning, design and compliance role. This project includes two stadiums, two aquatics centres, a field hockey venue and a velodrome.
